Wedding Card and Me
Having been receiving and giving wedding cards for years, I should know. As a giver, it has been a customary tradition for me to alot a saturday when I would shop for some wedding card materials in the morning and would work on my wedding card concept all day. It was both tiring and very fulfilling. At the end of the day, I would always find myself very amused with my work of art. I would go on staring at it for hours and marvel on how beautiful it is, and how I was able to come up with such beauty. I would be so attached with it that I would even catch myself falling asleep either holding it or putting it on the coffee table beside my bed. That has always been my routine each time I would be attending a wedding and would spend some time to make a wedding card. I have been doing this for almost ten years already and have attended around three to five weddings in a year.And of course, there was my wedding day. The day that I have been anticipating all my life. And in as much that I am anticipating every wedding day that I will be attending and I am also excited to conceive yet another work of art, this time I am excited to receive all those wedding cards. Next to the event itself, the celebration and the gathering, this is another thing that I am excited about. And although I didnt get my hopes us at first, my family and friends didnt frustrate me. They knew how obsessed I am with wedding cards that is why they take some time and extra effort to make a card for me on my very special day.
Up to this day, I still cherish those cards. I am already married for five years. Some of my guests back then gave me a card that comes from the book store while a lot of them made a handmade and personalized wedding card for me. It was really touching and the message is all the more hilarious.
