As you may know, the Balance Board is like an advanced set of scales that measures weight and centre of gravity. Stand on it and it will measures acute changes in your weight distribution, allowing you to control a game by leaning and moving your body in different ways.Just as Nintendo packaged the Wii console with the superbly playable Wii Sports game, the Wii Balance Board is sold with Wii Fit. If they go ahead and continue developing for the Balance Board, will we be seeing more fitness titles, sports titles, or perhaps something else altogether? Who knows?

In a recent Famitsu magazine interview, Shigeru Miyamoto admitted that Nintendo may consider developing future software titles that use the Wii Balance Board, depending on how well the Wii Fit package performs overseas. Namco Bandai released Family Ski in Japan, which includes an option to play using the Balance Board by moving and dodging, and using the Wii-mote for aiming and shooting.
