The Different Types, Varieties and Qualities of Camera Tripods Available
Whether you might have come across these or not, or whether you might have guessed from the name itself what they are, camera tripods are sort of like three-legged metal spiders ̣€“ with extendible legs. As with anything there are many different types, varieties and qualities of camera tripods available, and which one you choose will depend on you, and your pocket book. How they work though, is an entirely different matter. If you look closely at the base of your camera you will notice that there are maybe one, or two holes with the ability for something to be screwed into them. This is where the small rectangular shoe from camera tripods head fits into the camera.
Or in other words, the base of the camera is fitted sturdily with a piece of metal, which is then in its turn fitted sturdily and easily into the top, or the head, part of the camera tripods. And since we seem to be going backward here, let me also tell you that for the most part, camera tripods consist of three extendible legs and a head sitting right at the top of the whole thing. The shoe which fits into the camera is part of the head section.
Also the quality of the camera tripods you get will determine how stable it really is. The heavier and sturdy the camera tripods frame, the less camera shake you will get, and also the less chance for the camera tripods to topple over head first with the camera attached to it, for the lightest gust of wind.
