Review: Grand Theft Auto 4
In this game you can go anywhere and do anything you want like stealing numerous cars or just simply mapping out your favorite spots. Then two years passed and they release Grand theft Auto vice city with numerous improvements, like being able to fly an airplane or being able to ride a motorcycle, And finally when grand theft auto San Andreas was released you were given the chance to hide behind objects while strategizing our next move, and the best part of all is that they even added manual aiming. Now to get to the main game. The fourth installment in the series is a complete masterpiece, even in today"s graphic standards GTA4 delivers. The graphics are just amazing for being a grand theft auto game, there has been great detail and attention given to every are of the game, when driving through the road you can see all the details like cracks in the light poles and the foliage in the trees are just so cool.
The car damage has been given a lot of detail so when you hit a pole with your car you can see the bends perfectly. The time cycles have been dramatically improved, the shadows of our character are perfectly depicted when the sun hits you or when its dark the lighting is just perfect. The best part of all is that the city has been extended a couple of times compared to other grand theft auto games, you can literally fit about fifty call of duty maps into the city, yes it"s that big.
There are literally thousands of locations that you can choose from in the game, you can go sky diving, racing, strip clubs, watch TV, get some food, train in a martial art, get drunk and much more. The voice acting in the game is way better than ever before, no more lanky characters that skip a beat when talking.
The controls have been greatly improved, you can pick this game up and start enjoying it from the very beginning. In total there are some side missions in the game to keep you busy for months at a time, so if you are looking for a new "old" game then this game will not disappoint, you can pick it up at your local game store for about fifteen bucks new.
